clinched the number one seed in the NFC

For the first time since1995, the cowboys have home field advantage throughout the time that they last in the playoffs. Saturday's 20-13 win over the Panthers, coupled with Green Bay's 35-7 shellacking by the Bears gave Dallas, 13-2, the number one seed. This Sunday, in the regular season finale against the Redskins, Terrell Owens will likely sit out to heal the ankle sprain suffered in the Carolina game, in which he had 5 catches for 48 yards and a Touchdown before departing midway through the second quarter when getting injured. He will likely be ready for their divisional matchup on either January 12 or 13. Look for WR Terry Glenn to finally make his 2007 debut against Washington. The Redskins, 8-7, will grab the last NFC playoff spot if they beat the Cowboys on sunday but don't count on Dallas accomodating Washington by resting all of their starters. Except for T.O. and a few others, because of injuries, the Cowboys will still approach this game in a meaningful way.
